Hey, I'm Andrew.

My name is Andrew H. Waller.

I'm a web developer from Austin, Texas.

I talk to computers & ancient writers.

(Sometimes they even talk back.)

What I do

I built my first website when I was eleven years old, but I spent seven years working as an educator and teacher of ancient languages before becoming a developer. I bring an academic capacity for analysis and abstraction to bear on the development process. I build well-modeled and thoughtfully designed web applications. User delight gets me out of bed in the morning.

I cut my programming teeth on Ruby and Ruby on Rails, but I've spent the last three years working with modern JavaScript frameworks, modeling data in the cloud, building Jamstack websites, and delivering solutions in legal tech.

Some tools I'm enjoying right now

Vue.js, Alpine.js, Stimulus, Vite, TailwindCSS, FaunaDB

Tools I've used in the past

React, Redux, Knockout, Bootstrap, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL
